Job Description

General Sales Manager Peters Honda, a high-volume, well-established and family-owned automotive dealership is seeking an experienced and motivated General Sales Manager to lead and drive performance across its New and Pre-Owned vehicle sales department. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, professional environment with strong support and potential for growth. Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly sales volume and gross profit targets
  • Lead, manage, and develop the New and Pre-Owned Sales teams
  • Recruit, hire, and coach high-performing sales professionals
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and days’ supply
  • Ensure team is well-informed on vehicle inventory, marketing promotions, rebates, and incentives
  • Accurately appraise trade-in vehicles and manage used vehicle acquisition strategy
  • Collaborate with executive management to forecast sales and control expenses
  • Personally support sales staff in customer interactions and closing deals
  • Enhance the overall customer experience throughout the purchase process
  • Coordinate with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) team to optimize the sales and delivery workflow
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies and regulatory requirements
  • Promote a customer-centric, team-oriented culture aligned with company values
Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of automotive sales management experience required
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with dealership management systems (CDK or similar) is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a performance-based, high-volume environment
  • Professional appearance and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred
