**Job Title: Facilities Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team, responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance and assisting in the repair of buildings and grounds in assigned areas. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate in written, verbal, and email formats.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform preventative maintenance and repair tasks on building and grounds.
+ Conduct general maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, lighting, and troubleshooting.
+ Provide excellent customer service and maintain a customer-focused approach in all interactions.
+ Lift and carry items weighing over 50 pounds daily.
+ Work on rooftop HVAC units and become familiar with VAV (Variable Air Volume) Boxes.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 6 months of building maintenance experience within apartment complexes or hotels.
+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs on a daily basis.
+ Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and email.
+ Customer service experience in previous roles.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in a customer-focused environment such as apartments, hotels, or corporate facilities.
+ Previous experience working in maintenance at a hotel or apartment complex.
+ Experience with building maintenance, specifically preventative maintenance.
+ Familiarity with residential and/or contractor work.

**Work Environment**
This position requires flexibility to work shifts from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with availability to work weekends and the possibility of 1st shift hours (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM). The role is based at two locations, South Lake Union and Pioneer Square, which are two miles apart. The work environment does not involve entering occupied hotel rooms.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
