(Terms and conditions apply)** **ASnapshot of Your Day** The primary purpose of this position is to set up and operate, program manual and CNC horizontal milling machines, manual lathes, and CNC lathes performing detailed operations on a variety of parts and components. Use a range of tools, including milling cutters, boring bars and heads, saws, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and more. Your role will require a proven understanding of shop mathematics and the capacity to interpret complicated drawings, specifications, charts, and tables. You should also have experience with precision measuring instruments and/or specialized occupation training. **HowYou'll Make an Impact** + Usingmaterial handling devices to load/unload parts from machines or assist thecrane operator. You will be setting up machines by installing tooling andadjusting machine settings, feeds, speeds, etc., according to job documentationand drawing specifications. + Securingwork pieces using various tools and equipment to ensure accurate alignment andleveling. + Followingestablished procedures and using lineups, manuscripts, programs, and toolingsheets to operate machines. + Performmachining operations using manual, semi-automatic, or automatic controls tomill, drill, ream, bore, tap, turn, face, groove, radius, and grind, amongother operations. + Conductin-process integrity checks to maintain specific drawing tolerances and performin-process testing and data recording and making vital tool changes or offsetsand re-orienting machines as required. + Removingchips from work pieces and performing inspections and deburring/cleaning asneeded, as well as perform preventative maintenance and minor machine repairs,and complete required documentation, such as log sheets and downtime records. **WhatYou Bring** + Minimum of 3 years of machining experience in a lowvolume/high mix production environment or job shop + Functional understanding of how to read and edit G& M Code + Knowledge of tooling selection with feeds and speedsfor proper metal removal The Career Readiness/Work Keys Certificate - Silver Status required - modifications to be made Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests or any other as required to perform the duties.
