Job Overview:

Hays Electrical Services approaches each project with a cooperative mindset, working with business owners, contractors, and subcontractors towards the common goal – successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update electrical Revit models under the guidance of senior BIM staff.
- Produce layout drawings, 3D models, and design updates for electrical systems.
- Maintain model accuracy and organization according to BIM standards and project requirements.
- Assist with preparing views, sheets, details, and documentation for construction deliverables.
- Assist with clash detection processes using Navisworks or similar tools.
- Track and document clashes, markups, and coordination issues for review with senior BIM team members.
- Support coordination meetings by providing updated models and exporting required views or reports.
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure accurate model integration and system alignment.
- Perform routine model clean‑ups to ensure proper file structure, naming, and element organization.
- Verify that model elements comply with project standards and electrical construction requirements.
- Assist in updating models based on field feedback, design revisions, and as‑built information.
- Work closely with senior BIM designers and project coordinators to support daily production needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members to clarify modeling requirements and resolve basic design issues.
- Support the BIM team in meeting deadlines, updating schedules, and managing workload priorities.
Qualifications: - 2+ years of BIM/Revit modeling experience in construction or engineering.
- Electrical experience is required (design, modeling, or construction exposure).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit ; experience with Navisworks is a plus.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems such as power, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn advanced BIM processes.
- Ability to follow established workflows and work collaboratively within a team environment.
Skills: - Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or related BIM tools.
- Familiarity with clash detection, model review processes, and construction drawings.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify and communicate production issues quickly.
